Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions from new and returning patients — scheduling, insurance, forms, office locations, and what to bring to your first visit.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Call our office at (813) 975-2800 during business hours, or submit a scheduling request online. Staff will follow up within one business day to confirm your visit.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes. All four of our active cardiologists are currently accepting new patients. If you were referred by another physician, bring your referral details to your first visit.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, a current medication list including doses, and any referral or prior records from another provider. Completing patient forms before you arrive will save time at check-in.
Does TCA accept my insurance?
TCA works with most major insurance plans. Call our office to verify your specific coverage before scheduling. For vein procedures, insurance often covers treatment when medically necessary.
What diagnostic tests are available in office?
We perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests, vascular ultrasound, carotid ultrasound, arterial and venous studies, abdominal and renal ultrasound, and Cardiac PET/CT — all in office without a hospital referral.
How do I access the patient portal?
The patient portal is an external secure login through eClinicalWorks. You can reach it from the Patient section of this site. Contact the office if you need help with your login.
Where can I complete patient forms?
Download and complete patient forms from the Patient Forms page on this site. Completing them before your visit reduces check-in time.
What are your office locations?
TCA has three offices: Main Tampa (3010 E. 138th Ave, Suite 12; effective June 1, 2026: 4450 E Fletcher Avenue, Suite C), Armenia Avenue (5115 N Armenia Ave), and Wesley Chapel (2136 Ashley Oaks Cir, #101). Call (813) 975-2800 to confirm which location is best for your appointment.
What if I have urgent symptoms?
For chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or stroke symptoms — call 911 immediately. For symptoms that are concerning but not an emergency, call our office before heading to urgent care. We often have same-day availability.
